Pharmacy Pearls Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

In a December 2014 study published in the prestigious British Medical Journal, it was revealed that about half of the recommendations made on televised medical talk shows, including "The Doctor Oz Show" and "The Doctors," either have no supporting evidence or are directly contradicted by the best available evidence.

As a result, the study authors concluded that, "The public should be skeptical about recommendations made on medical talk shows." I'll say.

In light of this, the purpose of Pharmacy Pearls is to help patients, and their loved ones, make informed decisions about their medications using the best available evidence.
