In this environment of global exploitation and muted voices, the Land Rights Defenders, established in 2020 and officially incorporated on April 18, 2023, play an essential role. Our organization combats the growing threat posed by authoritarian regimes and corporate excess, which often result in unlawful evictions and land appropriation, undermining the principles of the Universal Declaration on Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
