I firmly believe in tailoring the treatment of my patients as per their needs without compromising on the outcomes. The needs of a young lady with breast cancer and no financial constraints is likely to be very different from the needs of an elderly lady coming from a remote village. To understand the needs of the patients we have to have a frank and open hearted discussion with them. I believe that advanced technology like robotic surgery should be used in appropriate cases because when it is used indiscreetly it can cause more harm than good
