Jesus in Gethsemane

Welcome to Jesus in Gethsemane. The Bible tells us that Jesus sweat great drops of blood in the Garden of Gethsemane before dying on the cross. What would cause Him to go through such a shedding of blood? There must have been some purpose for this occurrence. I, along with many others, believe that Gethsemane is where and when He took upon Himself our sins and infirmities—many hours before His death on the cross at Calvary. If Gethsemane really was where He suffered for our sins, and the cross was where He suffered death for us, wouldn’t that make His time in Gethsemane at least as significant as the time He spent on the cross? Why then has Gethsemane been almost forgotten? This is the question we will strive to answer on this channel and in our books. These are our thoughts about those three hours of eternity—Gethsemane.
