Lancaster Conservancy Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

The Lancaster Conservancy has been working for over 50 years to provide wild and forested lands and clean waterways for our community here in Pennsylvania's Lancaster and York counties. The Conservancy has protected over 8,000 acres of land in 50 nature preserves with over 60 miles of hiking trails. These nature preserves are open to the public free of charge, 365 days a year, and provide opportunities for education and passive recreation like hiking, fishing, hunting, and swimming. We have protected some of the most beautiful and beloved natural places in the area -- preserves like Climbers Run, Welsh Mountain, Tucquan Glen & Pyfer, and Shenks Ferry. Our work cultivates a connection with nature and educates everyone about the importance of clean water, native species, biodiversity, and proper land use.
