Channel Description

INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH RECORDS Created in 1991 Grown from the depths of Brooklyn, New York's ISR unleashed it's first 12 inch on an unsuspecting world back in 1991 in the form of the now classic 12inch 'Mescalinium United'. As the label grew, the definitive ISR sound was created, distinguishing the New York sound from the European style of hardcore music that was coming through at the time - the revolution had arrived. As the first Electronic Hardcore label in the world and one of the first electronic labels in the USA, ISR has featured established artists such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Jonh Selway, Oliver Chesler, COC, Manu Le Malin, The Mover, Promo, Casper Pound, Daft Punk, DJ Paul and the new york city speedcore band DOA, among many other ground breaking music that has pioneered the label since 1991.
