Channel Description

Exploring the Japanese language together

Hi, I'm Pedro from Brazil, living in Japan since 2013. I started learning Japanese on my own in 2009, passed the N1 exam in 2012 and consider myself fluent, although I'm hit by imposter syndrome quite often😅. I'm passionate about anything Japanese related, as long as it's not super academic stuff. I love reading, writing, talking, listening to Japanese and noticing new things I've never noticed before in this never ending journey. On this channel I tend to focus on reading, especially Japanese novels, but you might find a little bit of the other stuff as well. My goal is to help you enjoy Japanese books and deepen your understanding of the language. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, if you are also passionate about Japanese and Japan, subscribe and let's go on this journey together!

In case you’re curious, the channel name "tamagoto" comes from "玉" (tama), meaning "jewel," and "言" (koto), relating to language expression.
