Just For Fun originate from the union of four professional musicians who decide to work together to pursue a new and interesting musical challenge, to completely re-harmonize and rearrange dance and pop hits into something completely different, maintaining the original vocal track while changing the harmony, the rhythm, the groove and the whole arrangement.
The idea stems from the observation of what has always been done in jazz from Charlie Parker (who re-read the classic, standards songs, maintaining the harmonic frame while changing the themes) but also by observing what modern deejay do, when they remix popular songs.
