俳優🎬池内万作と音楽家🎹本田みちよによるエレクトロニック・ユニット。
テクノ、ハウス、シンセポップを軸に、90年代ハウス／ポスト・レイヴの多幸感と、現代を生きる身体感覚や哲学的視点を融合したダンスミュージックを展開する。
ビッグビート、ソウル、ロックの要素も取り込みつつ、単なる快楽性にとどまらず、愛や祝祭性の裏に潜む曖昧さや違和感、グレーな感情を歌詞として描き、リスナーに「もう一つの視点」を提示することを特徴とする。
2025年5月、デビューEP『The World Is Beautiful』をリリースし、ハウスTOPアルバム1位、ダンスTOPアルバム2位を記録。
以降、毎月コンスタントに作品を発表し、国内外で着実に支持を広げている。現在はイケウチ倉庫スタジオを拠点に制作を行っている。
Cat Trooper is an electronic music unit formed by actor 🎬 Mansaku Ikeuchi and musician 🎹 Michiyo Honda. Rooted in techno, house, and synth-pop, their sound fuses the euphoria of 1990s house and post-rave culture with a contemporary sense of physicality and philosophical reflection.
Going beyond pure hedonism, their music explores subtle discomfort and gray emotions beneath love and celebration, affirming dancing, surviving, and continually redefining freedom.
