Passing the torch to the next generation of biologists! Hi, I’m Amanda Beck, a biologist from Southern California. After 20+ years in environmental consulting as a field biologist and biological technical writer, I had to pause my career for caregiving. In this new chapter of my life, I created Beck Bio to stay connected to the field I love....biology.
My mission with this channel is to help educate students, young biologists, and anyone entering the environmental consulting field. Beck Bio offers an accessible learning space with clear, practical, easy-to-understand videos on zoology, botany, taxonomy, biological reporting principles, bio report writing, and more.
I make biology approachable because I know how overwhelming it can be, especially when you're just starting out. Creating these videos gave me purpose in a hard time. I hope they help you find your footing and feel supported as you grow in your career.
