Dr. C. Mohanan, M.Sc. (Calicut University), Ph.D. (Cochin University of Science & Technology) has served ad Scientist F Grade and HoD (Department of Forest Health) at the Kerala Forest Research Institute, Peechi, Kerala, India. He has worked extensively on tropical forest health management and also contributed towards forest biodiversity – Microfungal diversity, Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizal fungal diversity, Rust fungal diversity, Mushroom diversity, Boletes, and Polypores diversity – in the Kerala part of the Western Ghats, India.
Dr. Mohanan, a bird enthusiast and nature photographer has been exploring the Western Ghats for the past 40 years. He has been actively participating in birding in Important Birding Areas in Kerala and other States in India and also abroad.
