Ruck-Stick Archery and Wood Work By: Jeff Ruckman Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
Join me on my bow building journey. This channel has been inspired by a life long fascination with archery. Even as a boy I would make bows out of pine saplings braid bowstrings from fishing line and arrows out of carved twigs. All this to play out in the woods and declare war on whatever deemed worthy to be my enemy, which included trees, stumps, squirrels, birds, and those big black ants. I can remember one particular bow that I made that shot about 30 yards and my dad said to me, “be careful with that one, it looks like it could do some damage.” I was so proud. Then as they all did, it BROKE. Starting all over again was one of the best parts too. Finding the best stick, reusing the string, and trying everything I could think of to make a stronger more powerful bow. Hoping to impress my big brother and of course my dad with a new model that would out preform the previous.
This journey lives on and thank you for joining me in it. Enjoy and GOD BLESS.
