CARI established 2nd Nov., 1979 at Izatnagar, Bareilly, U.P. provides R&D support to poultry sector for enhancing productivity of diversified poultry, processing and marketing, apart from PG education and training.

Central Avian Research Institute established under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research provides all-round support to the growth of poultry sector. Since its inception, this Institute has been providing need based R&D support for diversified poultry production, processing and marketing, apart from PG education, training and technology transfer activities for augmenting productivity, production and profitability of the sector. The R&D accomplishments of the Institute have been widely acclaimed and adopted. Moreover, the Institute has been continuously updating and reorienting its R&D focus abreast with the latest developments taking place globally and in accordance with the changing needs of the domestic poultry sector.
