Nitty Gritty Phonics

We strive to make learning fun at Nitty Gritty Phonics. Our educational videos are high energy, engaging, and above all, effective. By thinking like a kid, reading specialist Jody Kasso, has created lessons that children find relatable and fun. They will want to watch the videos again and again and actively participate in their own learning.

Preschoolers, kindergartners, first graders, second graders, and even third graders will benefit from strengthening their foundational reading skills. Kids will have fun improving their phonemic awareness, and their ability to recognize letters and recall their individual sounds. They will enjoy learning phonics and expanding their knowledge of sight words.

Miss Kasso, Alfee, and Sight Word Sally work together to provide a fun, active, multi-sensory experience for children. Our phonics songs use movement which research shows aids in memory retention. Our goal is to help children become independent readers. Please subscribe to our channel.
