Channel Description
My Art lessons and community outreach has been featured in numerous publications such as Scholastic Magazine, Homeschool Top 100, IncredibleArt.org, Lowell Sun, and Metrowest News. I was the recipient of the "Massachusetts Elementary Art Educator of the Year" in 2023, and the "2019 Women Making History Now" award from the Massachusetts State Senate and House of Representatives hosted at Framingham State University. I was also asked to be the alumni speaker at the "2019 Montserrat Presidential Inauguration" and the Keynote Speaker at the “2020 Montserrat Leadership Summit”. In addition, I also spoke on the topic of “Social Media and the Arts” at the Massachusetts Art Education Convention in 2019. These honors remind me everyday what a blessing it is to be an Art Educator.
In my Art classroom, students are encouraged to express themselves, while also exploring new materials and techniques. I create interdisciplinary Art lessons using the district, state, and NAEA Visual Arts standards.
