Elvira Bary Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

Authoritarian regimes don’t survive by accident. They survive by mastering fear, memory, and human instinct.

This channel examines how power systems twist history, culture, and psychology to maintain control. Russia’s past and present serve as the clearest case study, revealing patterns that appear in authoritarian societies everywhere.

I’m Elvira Bary, an author born in the USSR. Drawing on lived experience, historical research, and cultural analysis, I break down how strongmen build durable systems, justify lies, and train people to accept, and even defend their own confinement.

This is about more than politics. It’s about the survival codes that shape behavior under pressure: how propaganda rewires moral instincts and how power becomes invisible.

The goal is transformation, not outrage. Viewers leave able to recognize these mechanisms early — in governments, institutions, workplaces, and communities.
