Lindsey Hook

I am a calligrapher, pen maker & artist based in Chicago.

Calligraphy is a family tradition that goes back four generations beginning with my great grandfather, J.F. Hook, who was a professor of Business and Ornamental Penmanship at Temple University in his time. I draw upon this history, along with my own love for calligraphy and the visual arts, to create handcrafted works that give events a special, personal touch, and to provide people with unique and tangible art and mementos to cherish and build memories around.

I offer a wide variety of calligraphic and lettering services including common things like envelope addressing, as well as spot calligraphy and design for invitations, cards, and certificates.

I also serve the global, professional and amateur calligrapher community by making custom fit, handmade, ergonomic calligraphy pens that reduce the strain that comes from the long hours of writing associated with being a practitioner of the calligraphic arts.
