West Dean College has an international reputation for excellence. Our degrees and diplomas are awarded by Sussex University. We run up to 800 short courses a year in arts, craft, conservation and professional development.
Founded by Edward James, a significant patron and collector of surrealist art, West Dean College is set in a historic house, his former home surrounded by award winning gardens. Open to the public the gardens feature Victorian glasshouses, a magnificent 300ft Edwardian pergola and a 2 ½ mile circular walk through St Roche's Arboretum.
