Hello,
Welcome to my channel! My name's Reka. I would like to invite you on my journey of creating a new wardrobe mainly inspired by the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. I'm not going to - but might - make historically accurate garment because, well, because I walk in 21st century streets.
It's going to be a long journey because I like to take my time. Oh, and I hand sew. Literally. Just for the love of stitching. My sharp 11 needles are a dream to work with.
Also, I've realised I don't need many clothes, what I need is durable ones. I like to think that by not overproducing and only using natural fibers I can re-establish harmony with Mother Nature - to a certain extent. I make an effort to use as much vintage or second hand material as possible. I've hardly bought anything new in the last six months except for fabrics. Buttons, lace, most of my tools are strictly vintage! There's plenty of everything out there!
