Homeless In Toronto Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
Homeless in Toronto is a performative documentary series, showcasing the life of documentary filmmaker, Jack, a homeless person of colour, who struggles with mental illness, as they struggle to survive in the City of Toronto.
Jack encounters challenging interactions with people, groups, and situations, that some viewers may not typically encounter in their everyday lives.
Jack aims to raise awareness around homelessness and its causative factors, which include, but are not limited to: lack of affordable housing, oppression (discrimination, structural violence, etc.), mental illness, and poverty.
This awareness around homelessness is designed to lead the audience to question whether we are sufficiently helping our homeless, in the City of Toronto.
Because of the nature of filming real life on the streets of Toronto, some scenes may contain potentially disturbing elements. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
Thank you for watching.
Signed,
Jack
