ਤੀਸਰ ਪੰਥ, Teesar Panth - The Third Path: The Way of the Khalsa
When Guru Gobind Singh was asked the caste of the keshdari (ones who keep uncut hair) followers that accompanied them, as they did not look like Muslims or Hindus, Guru Sahib replied:
ਸੁਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਫੁਰਮਾਵਨਿ ਕੀਆ। ਭਯੋ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਤੀਆ। ਹਿੰਦੂ ਤੁਰਕ ਦੁਹਿਨ ਤੇ ਨਯਾਰੋ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਬਿਚਾਰੋ।
After hearing this Guru Ji replied, I have created the Khalsa, the third (Panth) in the world, distinct from both the Dharmic and Abrahamic Paths. Consider them the servants of Akaal Purakh Vaheguru (The Timeless Being, The Wondrous Enlightener)

ਏਕ ਜੀਹ ਤ੍ਵ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਥੰ ਕਿਮ੍ ਪਾਰੰਤੀ ਕਥੰਤਿ ਨਾਮੰ॥ ਪਾਹ ਪਾਹ ਛਮੋ ਪਰਾਧੰ ਸਰਨ੍ਯ ਸਰਨ੍ਯ ਸਰਨ੍ਯ ਨਮਾਮੀਸੰ॥
Oh Master, I, Your servant, only have one tongue, saying your names how can I reach your limits? For this reason, I am in your protection, forgive my faults!
