The Pit Pony Podcast: Life After Teaching Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
In June 2020, Sharon Cawley and Sarah Dunwood created the Life After Teaching: Exit the classroom and thrive community on Facebook, with the intention of bringing together teachers and education support staff in the UK to discuss the challenges in their roles and to help support them in exploring options to move into roles outside of teaching.
Little did they know that by 2024, there'd be over 170,000 members in the group, and that their membership would extend beyond the UK. It appears that the challenges in teaching are surprisingly similar around the globe!
The Pit Pony Podcast has been born from the help and support of 1000s of people. Its name is a nod to the 'Pit Pony Video' which so many refer to, where Sharon, Sarah and Su discussed their life after teaching and provided a simple financial strategy for people to consider when planning their exit.
