Language Teaching Professionals

This channel aims to support the professional development of teachers of young learners. I have been teaching children and training teachers of children for about forty years, and I am using this YouTube channel to pass on to others what I think I have learned.

My teaching and teacher training experience has mainly been in Japan, Korea and Thailand, so the videos may be particularly relevant to teaching children that don't use the Roman script in their native language. My main focus is on teaching children between 5 and 12 years old, though many of the videos will be relevant to children a bit younger than this.

I used to own schools in Hiroshima that became a center for the professional development of English teachers around Japan, and we also had franchise schools in Korea and Thailand. So the ideas are not just theoretical. They played a key role in the building up of a successful group of schools.
