Welcome to "Sweet Heaven Desserts", a baking channel where you will find many cakes and desserts videos.
I’m not a professional baker, but I was told MANY times that my cakes are exceptionally tasty. I must confess that I never bought a birthday cake, and I have a FEW decades under my belt ;) So, along the way, I did learn a few things that I will pass along. So stick around, and let's get baking :)
p.s. One thing I can advise, if you want to bake a dessert that will stand out, is to use really good flavors. Do not skip them!
One of my favorite is FIORI DI SICILIA. It has a great balance of Citrus, Vanilla, and Floral notes, and I use it in most of my desserts! You can find it online at King Arthur website. I promise you, is worth the price :)
Other flavors I use:
Dr. Oeteker's VANILLA and ESSENCE OF RUM (Excellent!).
Liqueur: BAILY's, Frangelico, Grand Marnier.
Good Cocoa powders (natural and Dutch Processed)
