MAI i.e Mission arthritis India - Mumbai is a registered non -profit organisation. This project is a vision of dedicated Rheumatologists serving the Rheumatology patients in Mumbai for years as we understand that there are unmet patient needs once they leave the consultation room. When faced with chronic illnesses like Rheumatoid arthritis the patients and caretakers need to understand the various aspects of illness which are not only physical but also the social and emotional burden which can have great impact on day to day living. Often patients find themselves lonely and helpless while battling with the disease and to bridge this gap it is essential to have a formal platform to reach out and connect. The name MAI resonates with the word Aai or Maa , meaning mother who is regarded as a supreme care taker looking after all your needs and this group looks forward to provide that helping hand as reflected in the MAI logo. We hope to connect the patients and doctors come together.
