PDX Guitar Freak's Tabs & Lessons Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
When it comes to teaching famous guitar solos, most teachers on YouTube use the same old inaccurate tabs that have circulated for decades. I should know - I have been playing guitar since 1983 and own many of the guitar magazines and books that they were originally published in. Back in those days, the method of transcribing guitar was difficult, because we didn't have the technology we have now. It involved the arduous process of moving a record needle (or rewinding a cassette) over and over, resulting in frustrated transcriptionists saying "well I'm close enough" and/or taking shortcuts so they could meet their deadlines. Thankfully, those days are over... or at least they should be.
I have a developed a method using modern technology to transcribe guitar solos, where I can clearly analyze every note and phrase. I'm confident you won't find tabs or instruction more accurate than mine.
In addition to lessons, I'm open to review guitar gear. Drop me a note if interested.
