There are several clinical & laboratory steps involved in fabrications of Fixed partial dentures for partially edentulous patients such as primary impression making with alginate; primary cast fabrication; articulation of diagnostic casts; diagnostic wax up; putty index fabrication; tooth preparation of abutment teeth; fabrication of provisional restorations; retraction cord placement; secondary impression making; working cast fabrication; wax pattern fabrication; spruing; investing; casting; metal try-in, shade selection; cementation.
This channel will explain all the steps mentioned above in fabrication of fixed dental prosthesis in dental treatment with special emphasis on different type of tooth preparations such as full metal tooth preparation, metal ceramic or porcelain fused to metal; all ceramic or metal free; laminate & veneers.
