My channel deals with texts. I include the interpretation of any and all words that may fascinate, whether spoken or written. This is the world of hermeneutics and without hermeneutics our worlds disappear. Jacques Derrida famously said, "There is nothing outside the text!" What does this mean and how can it possibly be true? Now, there is a hermeneutical conundrum that needs an answer!
As a starting point, I will examine classic rock and particularly the music of Queen. This enables me to combine my academic background with my interests. This the beginning, not a limitation. Wherever something is well said - humorous or dramatic, truth or fiction, film or literature, classic or contemporary - that is the domain we need to explore and understand. It is my hope that viewers will learn skills of interpretation that open horizons to meet their dreaming.
Everything we think, do and experience in life relies on the art of interpretation. There are a few that take the trouble.
