Night Lights are a Los Angeles based indie pop/rock trio with members hailing from Mexico, Japan and Norway. With their eclectic fusion of indie pop melodies, soul infused vocals and energetic rock’n’roll, the band have crafted a unique, dance-inducing sound, which is propelling them to the forefront of the Los Angeles music scene.
Formed of Mau Jimenez (Vocals), Yusuke Sato (Guitar) and Dag Eirik Hanken (Drums), the multicontinental band have used their diverse backgrounds to find a balance between profound lyrics, hooky melodies, intriguing harmonic progressions and danceability. Inspired by the likes of Mutemath, Two Door Cinema Club and Friendly Fires, the trio have crafted a fresh and infectiously catchy sound, which sits somewhere amidst the mix of their musical and cultural influences. "As we are all international and all come from different backgrounds, it is really important to us to be able to reach more than one demographic”, explains Sato.
