Portland's Doombia play a fusion of doom metal, stoner rock, psychedelic rock and cumbia--along with other Afro-Latin-influenced rhythms. Heavy metal with a clave. The resulting sound, which gets your hips shaking while your head's banging, has been aptly dubbed "DOOMBIA."
Doombia, a BIPOC-led, gender-queer Oregon-based power trio, released Doombia, Vol. 1 in December of 2023, and is currently working on volume 2. You can catch Doombia live around the Pacific Northwest during the first half of 2024.
