Hailing from the vibrant seaside city of Brighton, Fukushima Dolphin is a high-energy duo blending indie/rock/electronic with psychedelic elements.
Josh Butler (founder, singer, guitarist, and songwriter) and Alex (Drummer) created a unique sonic identity that shifts between brooding atmosphere and an explosive riff Their songwriting explores themes of existential angst, urban alienation, and dreamlike escapism, wrapped in swirling guitars and driving bass-lines.
Fukushima Dolphin's music is influenced by artists such as New Order, Neil Young, MGMGT, and Radiohead, blending elements from these inspirations to create their unique sound and style.
In March 2018, the band released their debut album, "Deep Sea Lemonade," showcasing their first 5 pieces band.
In 2019, the lineup changed, but they continued to produce music, releasing "The Furry Side EP" in April 2020 and "Taking In The Scenery" in February 2021. Fukushima Dolphin is still active and producing new music.
