Channel Description

San Francisco Bay Area singer/songwriter Forrest Hill has a penchant for finding hope in the face of adversity. Raised on a steady diet of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Talking Heads and The Clash, his story-driven roots-rock Indie-folk explores the terrain of love, loss and the hope of redemption.

Forrest’s career began in Boston where he fronted the funk rock band Judy’s Tiny Head (JTH), releasing two EPs, including the single “My Car,” a local New England hit. The band shared the stage with such acts as the Violent Femmes, Debbie Harry, Paul Young, and Aimee Mann and worked with iconic producer William Garrett. After JTH broke up, Forrest moved to Oakland CA where he developed a more introspective style influenced by his meditation practice. He hase released 4 solo albums with a fifth on the way. In 2020, he met producer J. Christopher Thomas and together they’ve crafted a modern psychedelic folk rock sound bringing to mind such acts as The Shins, The War On Drugs and The Lumineers.
