The Depths We Explored makes long length tracks, inspired by religion, esotericism, mythology and sacred music, in a dynamic but atmospheric style. The scope of musical influences is wide, and some relevant ones might be: early Pink Floyd, early King Crimson, early Kraftwerk, GYBE, Sigur Rós, Mogwai, Paradise Lost, PG. Lost, Cocteau Twins, Beach House, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie.
Band name is inspired by the Book of Job, chapter 38:
“Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? Or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? Or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? Declare if thou knowest it all.”
