Channel Description
Neysa Blay is a singer-songwriter from Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, whose guitar-driven sound and daring lyrics offer a throwback to the Rock En Español and Alternative Rock movements of the 90s and early-aughts. Neysa cut her teeth at a young age while playing covers in bars along the island, dreaming of following in the footsteps of her rock and roll heroes –legendary singers like Julieta Venegas, Shakira, Shirley Manson and Alanis Morisette.
Neysa debuted to local acclaim with the melodic pop single “Ojos de Diamante” in 2018, included in her debut EP titled “Destrúyeme”. Since then, she’s participated in the 2019 Festival Nuevos Vientos (La Plata, Argentina); and played industry showcases at the 2021 LAMC in New York and SXSW 2023 in Austin, TX.
"We need more female latina rockstars right now," says Neysa, who just finished recording her first full-length album in Mexico with producer Felipe Ceballos (Zoé, León Larregui). And that is precisely what she is setting out to do: Rock you.
