Channel Description
Drum lessons that are fun and a bit unique. I try to add a little humor to my lessons. Most of my video lessons are usually inspired by my weekly private drum lessons. Rock, Jazz, Metal, anything drum related. You should be able to learn and have fun doing it, I hope I accomplish both of those on my channel. Drum lessons will cover beginner to advanced concepts.
My Background - I've been playing professionally since age 15 when my drum teacher asked me to sub for him in his wedding band, after that, while I was a junior in high school I joined 2 other wedding bands and I never stopped playing. I have been teaching for over 30 years.
I am a graduate from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California where I had the amazing opportunity to study with Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Steve Houghton, Casey Scheuerell and so many other incredible teachers. Currently I am the owner of a music school in the Chicago area with 25 teachers on staff and 500 students which I opened in 2010.
