Stanford Mixed Company Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

Mixed Company is Stanford University's oldest all-gender, all-genre a cappella group. Formed in 1985, the group today has become 2-time ICCA Semifinalists, while still creating music everyone can enjoy. Attired in black, white, and a splash of red, our pack of singers wanders the campus - and sometimes the country - bringing with us a multi-genre setlist and a spunky style.

Our repertoire includes pop, R&B, rock, radio hits from the 80's through today, and more! We arrange all our music ourselves.

Mixed Company holds auditions at the beginning of each school year. No experience is required - only a love for singing. Previous singing experience of current members range from years of private vocal training to those who simply sang in the shower and the car.

After 16 albums and several awards from CASA (The Contemporary A Cappella Society), Mixed Company has made a name for itself in the a cappella community. Catch us on campus, or on tour, to see us sing, dance, and make you laugh. :)
