Our little warrior was born September 1st, 2017 at a gestational age of 23 Weeks, 17 Weeks premature, weighing in at 14oz, and measuring 10.5in. The doctors gave us our options, telling us he had less than 10% chance of survival. Regardless of the circumstances we never lost hope and mommy fought with everything in her to give Leon the strength to be born breathing and full of life.
It was August 30th when the water broke, it was also the day we wanted to start planning the baby shower since we were almost 6 Months into the pregnancy. We rushed to the hospital and the plan now was to stay pregnant for as long as possible, only made it two days with no amniotic fluid. But it was long enough to receive the steroid shots to help develop Leon's lungs.
He was born kicking and a light faint of a cry. The doctors and specialist did not think he would be alive or at least survive after a few minutes. But Leon beat the odds! He is truly our miracle bab
