kidsmosaicLA Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

In 2007, this YouTube channel was started as an online experiment to spread knowledge and love for street dance from the heart of the Los Angeles street dance community. We anonymously produced videos to show what we learned from our teachers, not for us to become famous or "known," but so that you, the audience, and kindred spirits all over the world could draw from these video sources and create on their own. We wanted other dancers to be free. And from 2007-2009, this was an incredible period of creativity for our videos. Our work preceded the late 2000s mainstream dance craze seen on other YouTube channels, reality shows, and movies. From 2010-2015, the instructional videos went offline as we explored other grass-roots level initiatives in Los Angeles. In 2016, we re-released the instructional videos for historical purposes. We thank all of our viewers for the years of interaction and shared creativity. Be free.
