I am a lapidary artist with over 2 decades experience. I started cutting at age 7 or 8, rock hounding/prospecting with my parents long before that. Each of the stones I present here and on my Etsy site are 100% natural, and when cut, have been cut by me and have undergone NO treatments what-so-ever. I will not carry a stone that has been altered and do not farm out my work to cutting farms. If on the rare occasion, I do offer a stone that has not been cut by myself, it will likely be from someone, likely a close colleague, with the same ethics and attention to detail that I hold myself to. Similarly, if I ever do present a stone that has been treated, I will clearly point that out. The only stones I can think of that may fall into this exception may be an exemplary piece of stabilized turquoise or tanzanite, since in most cases (even some stones from D-Block) it's color is derived from heat treating.
