Electric 5 is a Chicago-based all-female electric string quintet redefining what it means to rock with strings. With a lineup of two cellos and three violins, the group merges classical precision with the power of rock and pop, delivering explosive, fully live performances with no backing tracks. Their original arrangements strip songs down to their essence and rebuild them with bold textures, distortion, and layered string harmonies, bridging the worlds of symphony and stadium. Each member of Electric 5 brings world-class credentials and an untamed performance style to the stage. From appearances with the Zac Brown Band, Lizzo, Stevie Wonder, and Eminem to global tours and Broadway productions like Moulin Rouge!, their collective experience spans elite orchestras and iconic stages. At the group’s center is violinist Adia, whose wah-wah pedal solos and Hendrix-inspired flair power a sound that’s as virtuosic as it is unrestrained.
