Hailing from the wilds of the Yorkshire moors, Rupert Stroud’s powerful, rootsy and rugged folk-rock sound oozes with heartfelt melodies, reverb- soaked soundscapes and sweeping choruses.
His emotive and intimate songs have been played across BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 2 and Radio X, and he’s been heard soundtracking hit shows on ITV, Channel 4 and Sky Sports. Gaining new fans wherever they play, Rupert and his band have opened for James Blunt, Gavin James and Texas and have also shared the stage with Tom Speight, Little Comets and Jake Isaac.
After following up the classic rock and Britpop-inspired songs on Along The Low with a pair of soulful and bluesy Springsteen and Blackstreet covers during lockdown, Normal People is the first song from a batch of new material Stroud will be releasing in early 2021.
