Barry the Pianist

Hello there and thank you for visiting my YouTube Channel! My name is Barry and I’m a pianist (hence the name :-) I have been playing the piano for nearly all my life. I started when I was 5 and my parents got me an old upright piano piano for my birthday. I loved it and I never stopped playing. Off course I had my period of doubts and wanting to quit when I was an annoying teenager but my parents and my piano teacher kept on encouraging me to never stop. I am still grateful for this push. Until mid 2017 I used to sing as well and I playing and singing in pianobars on Cruiseships and across Europe. That year my voice gave up on me and now I have a speech problem that is called Spasmodic Dysphonia. I am glad and thankful for my fingers! Take a look around here on my channel.
