Yellow Hawk Customs Outdoors- Military Grade Custom Kydex Sheath Co. is owned by Doug Wilson, a Veteran of the U.S. Army Special Forces, who has been designing and building custom kydex sheath systems and knives for nearly 20 years. There are quite a few very positive reviews on youtube of his military/wilderness grade sheath systems by various popular outdoor equipment reviewers. To include, Preparedmind 101 with Chris Tanner, Native Survival School with Mitch Mitchell, Top of the Line Training with Ed Lawson, Aaron Malone- Gideons Tactical, THE OUTDOOR GEAR REVIEW, to name just a few. Doug started building leather sheaths for Spec Ops soldiers in the mid 80's. He now designs and builds sheaths for Spec Ops soldiers/units, military personnel, and civilian outdoorsman. Kydex is now his material of choice. Although, he does incorporate quality leather, and leather over kydex where applicable. Doug was a wilderness living/survival skills instructor at Group level in Special Forces.
