Hi, I'm Jiamei, I paint, and teach, and am the founder of Cherry Tree Art Studio in Cherrybrook, Sydney. I’ve been teaching art since 2013, helping kids and adults build skills, grow confidence, enjoy the creative process, and find beauty in the ordinary.
This channel is a quiet corner where I share painting processes, mostly small works filmed at home in between classes. I work with various materials, but watercolour is my go-to, it’s expressive, spontaneous, and perfect for busy schedules.
Some of these videos are just for fun or inspiration, but for my students especially, they can be great little activities to try at home. If you do give them a go, I’d love to see what you create!
