Formed in Hell, Norway in 2015, CHONTARAZ breaks metal boundaries with theatrical shows, signature makeup, and captivating storytelling. Their acclaimed debut "Rondamauh" (2017), produced by Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah), earned praise from Sweden Rock Magazine and a personal recommendation from Kamelot's Thomas Youngblood.
After premiering "Speed The Bullet" at 70000TONS OF METAL and touring with Sepultura and Soulfly, CHONTARAZ evolved into a Norwegian-Greek powerhouse with their third album "Phantom of Reality" (2025). Newest member Fotis "Narwhal" Benardo's production and drumming complement Ahkon's guitar mastery and Chontaraz's haunting vocals.
On "Phantom of Reality," the trio smashes together Norwegian darkness with industrial punch. It's not genre worship—just crushing riffs, electronic atmosphere, and vocals that hit like a sledgehammer. Metal for those who've grown tired of metal that plays it safe.
