The IET office started operations in India in 2006, in Bangalore. Today, we have over 13,000 members in India- the largest membership base for the IET outside of the UK. Our strategy is to play an influencing role and make a meaningful impact on the overall skill and competency levels within the Indian engineering community. Our areas of focus include: emerging technology (Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, etc), Future of education and skills and Future of Mobility and Transport (Freight, Logistics, Urban and Rural Mobility)
