Devoted to the rich art form of Hindustani Classical Music, Mukul Kulkarni is a vocalist of the Gwalior Agra Gharanas. Disciple of Pandit Sharad Sathe (Gwalior gharana) & Pandit Arun Kashalkar (Agra, Gwalior gharana), Mukul is steeped in the Guru-Shishya Parampara, as he endeavours to uphold the teachings of his Gurujis and the traditional values of the gharanas.
Mukul is recognized by All India Radio as a 'Top Grade' artist of Indian Classical vocal (Khayal).
After his graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Pandit Vikas Kashalkar of Gwalior gharana took Mukul under his tutelage. Under his guidance, Mukul completed his Master’s degree in Music from the University of Pune, being awarded a Gold Medal for achieving the highest ranking.
Blessed with a tuneful voice, Mukul demonstrates subtlety, sensitivity and flair in his khayal, whilst always striving to maintain the authenticity and traditional values of the gharanas.
