Hello, and welcome to "smile English stories".
I live in France, but I am from England. I came to France to finish my Engineering studies and to learn French! I worked as an Engineer for 18 years, based in England and then in France. I travelled a lot for work. I speak German, so I worked in Germany, but I also travelled to Asia, South America and Africa!
When my company closed in 2011, I decided to start helping people to acquire English.
I launched my Youtube channel in 2020. I wanted to give English learners the opportunity to listen to comprehensible English in different contexts.
I tell stories and talk about people and places, or cook in English, because I believe it's better if your mind is focussed on understanding, and not the grammar rules! Then you improve your listening comprehension and acquire English naturally.
There are different types of videos for you to enjoy, and I am always interested in other ideas!
