SIR E! earned his masters degree (Intercultural Studies concentration), magna cum laude, from Torch Trinity Graduate University in Seoul, South Korea. There, he was honored with the GILAS PIKO Award, a distinction given to outstanding Filipino students in South Korea.
A licensed professional teacher, he has co-authored & published books including Personal Development: Beyond Selfies, Introspection: Understanding the Self, Understanding the Self: New Normal Edition, Ethics: Exploring Moral Philosophy, Ethics for the Modern Student, and Beyond Borders: A Worktext on The Contemporary World.
In 2022, he was recognized as one of the 10 outstanding citizens of GMA, Cavite, and in 2024, he was given the "Innovative Instruction Award" during Mapúa MCL’s Faculty Congress for pioneering the development of "Understanding the Self" as a fully asynchronous online course, the first Social Science course in the entire Mapúa system and the Philippines to receive certification from Quality Matters.
