I’m Joe - I make music for a living and I love telling stories—sometimes they’re about me, sometimes they’re about the me’s that live inside of me, and sometimes they’re about other people. Real or imaginary, my songs and essays all come from a place of wanting to share ideas and the desire to connect through experiences.
While music is my core, I also make video essays here on YouTube. These explore philosophical ideas, existentialism, history, cinema, and social commentary—always rooted in human experience and empathy. It's the kind of stuff that didn’t quite fit into the music… but is still worth saying.
I’m a songwriter, Ableton producer, and bassist by trade. With my buds Micah & Ryan - we’ve written 5 LPs and played a 1000+ shows, the result is a catalog that sounds like a mix of Death Cab for Cutie, Jamiroquai, The Flaming Lips, Sufjan, and Dave Matthews Band.
